A physicist, Coulton has applied his passion for innovation to healthcare and life sciences for >28 years, developing products for customers that are desirable, feasible and viable. His career began at GEC-Marconi and he then joined GSK to develop technologies across pharmaceutical R&D. With a desire to deliver real products and increase his business acumen, Coulton moved to Consumer Health at Reckitt Benckiser, where he was responsible for innovative products in many categories. He then moved to Bayer (Switzerland) to build and establish their Consumer Health Open Innovation activities. He now helps companies develop their internal innovation processes and their external business development through his company L4i.

Coulton helps companies, big and small, to fulfil their innovation needs and ensures these opportunities are grounded in delivering financial and intellectual benefit to the business. While his career has spanned many different functions, categories, brands, technologies and processes, as a physicist Coulton believes he can bring added innovation value to many different industry sectors. He is also passionate about coaching others to build their own personal innovation expertise and has built, developed and grown teams of many different cultures and geographies (UK, USA and Switzerland primarily).
